I waited for a year to get this back from my smith and plans have changed. Could use the money more. Built by a small shop here in Michigan.

Was planning on pushing this hard with the strong weatherby action and Peterson brass. The action is a strong weatherby action.

Will include 50 pieces of Peterson brass and 50 170 bullets

Stock is a Stockys carbon fiber stock. Very similar to a manners eh1

This is new and No rounds fired. Standard lop and gun weighs around 7 pounds.

Just curious about: weight as is, brand of bullets. Also in your opinion would other bullets like 130/140 partitions accubond, game king, barns lrx, ttx work as well Thanks

What is the weight,LOP and has anything been done to the action and who did the smithing?

Standard lop. 7#. Action has not been touched. It's a weatherby vanguard and they are well made actions. A small shop in northern Michigan did the work

Would really like to move this. Would also sell the barrel and stock of anyone has an action. Weatherby actions have very tight tolerances. Should headspace fine on any howa or Vanguard

I can tell you I shoot 130BT's out of my fast twist .270 1:8 without any problems at all with accuracy. I will bet this will do same fine. The long action of a Wby will give you plenty of COAL IMHO. Much more flexible .270 shooting all bullet weights. I have plenty of threads on mine shooting 145ELDX, 150AB, 150ABLR, 156HH, 160 Partitions, 165ABLR, 170EOL, 175 TGK and 170BT's. If you are looking for .270 that can shoot whatever you have, I bet this one will do it. Just posting up based on my experience with fast twist .270's in case you were wondering.
