It's a krieger barrel according to the notes on the rifle's card - 12 Twist I believe but I'll be checking that momentarily - this is for the 20 Beggs - rifle weighs 10 lbs

The Stiller 300 WSM is a Krieger 14 Twist for the 168 grain bullets - rifle weights 10.5 lbs

That sounds off?
Never heard of a 14 twist in 300wsm? 12 I could see if you wanted to shoot the lightest stuff but a 168 with a 14 twist prob wouldn't stabilize with a vld

I agree - it did sound off but I have run a tight patch through it 3 times and it measures out right at 14 twist. Not sure what the build was but give me a call if you're interested still - I have a little bit of wiggle room but not much.

Very well could have but the owner was an avid varmint hunter. I have a feeling this was for light weight varmint rounds / white tail only style of rifle.

Any other way to test twist without shooting the rifle ?
