Would you be interested in trading for a 500 S&W Magnum 20" Katahdin SS, fluted barrel?
No sir.
I would be interested in a 45-70 Katahdin barrel.
I have 40 factory 260 Fusions and 40 factory 200 FTX that I would sell if you're not to far away if interested

Sorry, I regrettably sold my 45-70 Katahdin bbl. Shot a pile of pigs and a couple of bears with that rig. Perfect treestand rifle.

Sounds like a lot of fun. We don't have any pigs up here but we do have bear. Have never had an opportunity to hunt pigs, yet.

Yes - but that was before I sold it. I now have a 500 S&W Katahdin bbl but it's too much of a good thing for me. Kaaa-Boom!
I had a 16 1/4" Encore barrel that Gary Reeder made for me probably 20 or so years ago. I think I still have some CorBon ammo. I just like the 45-70

Old school. Sometimes a person just likes slinging a bit ol heavy chunk of lead. Doesn't need to be going fast to do the job

BTT - To help 400grains with his For Sale barrel, now that I derailed his thread.

As I guy who had 2 of these special 20" Encore barrels, they are great in the field and just plain fun to shoot.
