Here are the elk I spotted on the satellite. I looked at the area after taking a hike up there and saw a big herd of elk in person. You can see the elk in bing maps and google earth so obviously elk like to hang out in that basin.

I've been scouring google earth in the area I hunt and found a herd feeding where I killed several animals over the years.

It's a great tool. It seems most of the pictures taken are done in the middle of the day when animals are not the most active.

This year we have one of our group flying in. He will benefit from a fly over before he hunts. Should be lots of fun!! Can't wait!!!

Thanks for sharing.

Very sorry, I read this post too late, and Betsy is now in my Freezer. From what I have already cooked, though, she is delicious. I actually mistook her for a very large spotted feral hog.

Apologies again,

Packrat

Well, unfortunately, we didn't think to take a picture of her.

HOWEVER, In the spirit of cooperation, I have attached a picture so you can view her final resting place!

Well, I see that you got rid of the editt parts of ole Betsy. the better parts of her, especially her sense of humor have obviously become one with you which makes us very happy... She can live on through you. It will just require that you become a vegan, or at the very least cut dairy and all forms of bovine from your diet. We know how Betsy felt about cannibalism.
