Generally, they pair up in mid to late January and breed shortly thereafter. Most litters are born end of March to first part of April.
If you are going to hunt later on in February and want to make sure your population for the upcoming year grows, listen carefully for the rattle as they come in to the call. :D That way you get the males only!
