Hello,
I have some brass that I neck turned that has been fired 4x. If there is no donut formation at this point, would you expect to see it in the future?
Thanks,
Ken

Mix some flour, yeast and water.

or

If you did it right ..... You will have to go to the donut store.

I don't think there is a hard rule here.

I have a lot of Lapua that has some cases with donut. TBH I think I got the turning a little short.

So far, I've not seen a donut develop on those cases I 'got right' so I can't say.

I don't shoot hot but as I understand it, hot loads will 'flow' brass back up into the neck. Then you ream. I got the reamer for the Lapua brass but have not processed that lot since it arrived.

Donuts form with sizing. When you roll brass up the body into necks, you form donuts.

I should have mentioned, if you don't have to do a lot of body sizing, and you're mindful not to cause donuts, you will never re-form them.
You removed any with neck turning, and they just don't happen again on their own.
