Disappointed with the Berger 156 grain EOL

The 140 VLD seems to be a perfect storm in 6.5mm. Can't tell you why, but they just work really well.

THIS ^^^ or, the 140 gr. Elite Hunters and Push them,.. FAST !
140 Bergers, in most, 6.5's or, .270 WSM's, @ 3,000+ FPS, are MUCH, better, ( more explosive ) and likely to, "Scramble", the Vitals.
Seen IT,.. first Hand and, we are setting up My grandson to shoot, the 140 gr. Elites in his, 6.5 PRC.

As others have stated. Usually a Berger doesn't exit. But if you made a good shot the animal doesn't leave your sight in my experience. Berger is all I shoot just about nowadays

I had the same result with the 156 grn bergers. No pass through and deer running farther. I switched to 139 grn scenars and they have been dropping where they stand. Even had pass throughs on smaller deer.

147 eldm's won't pencil through. Your not going to get an exit more than likely on deer size game. Unless your impact velocity gets well below creedmoor velocity.
