Dependable Short DBM

I've got a Rem 700 308 with hinged floorplate in a HS stock. It will not feed properly and I want to change to a DBM system. I don't really need a 5 round dbm for hunting and I want a magazine system that doesn't hang way out of the bottom of the rifle. What DBM and magazine system would yall recommend that is short (can even hold 3 rounds only) and reliable?

H S makes a Detachable Magazine set-up. I have several of those that I like awfully well. They fit flush to the bottom of the stock. Stocky's might have them in stock. Good Luck.

+1 for the H-S DBM. I'm pretty happy with mine as well. They lock in tight, don't rattle & feed well. Down side i've heard they are hard to find, go figure
