I am looking to sell my custom built (by Economy Gunsmiths in PA) 6.5 x 284. It was built on a stock remington 700 long action which allows full length loads to fit the magazine. The factory trigger has been worked down to a crisp 2 lbs. It has a 27" Shilen select match grade stainless barrel with a 1-8" twist. All of this was put into an Axiom V/S stock. This stock has the machined aluminum forend, a two series recoil reduction system, and free floated barrel channel. There is virtually no recoil. I am willing to throw in the leupold base and the 1" burris signature rings with the gun. The scope and bipod seen in the following pics are not included (unless the right offer was made). This gun has been proven on steel and in the hunting field. I have had no problem knocking over bowling pins at 900 yards and have routinely achieved less than .5" groups at 100 yards. This gun has also afforded me several long range kills on antelope and whitetails out to 700 yds. I have never taken a shot on game further than that. It pushes the 140gr berger hunting vld quite nicely at 3015 fps. I have put 140 rounds down the barrel and the gun is in good condition. There is very minimal wear on the stock and barrel exterior due normal use in the field. I am asking $1,200 but will entertain all offers. Feel free to message me with any questions and offers.
