Coyote goes swimming and drowns.

Stuck his head where it didn't belong this snare was intended for a beaver , set way to low for a coyote.
Coyote snares are usually set with the bottom loop 12 in off the ground with a 12 inch circumference loop, this usually ensures a perfect throat hold. Somehow he went low and this is what happened. I'd rather shoot then snare but nothing is written in stone when coyotes are concerned.

I never got a coyote in a beaver set , but I did get a red fox in a 110 con-a-bear set for mink one time . It's interesting what they do some times isn't it .
