It has been said that the Colt 6724s heavy SS barrel is made by Kreiger.

Can Anyone confirm this?

I just purchased a brand new old stock Colt 6724 Elite and am very curious as to the maker of the 1-9, 6 groove barrel.

I tried to look it up and I can't confirm if it made by Kreiger. But I can tell you that wylde SS barrels shoot nice, but the best barrels are the SS heavy match grade .223. My match 24 inch is the most accurate AR I own. The down side is that you have to resize carefully. I actually machined my rcbs press case holder .0015 to ensure while over camming during full length resizing that the shoulder is correct. I use a dillion precision 223 case gauge to check.

This is bad and done on my dillion press. It won't fit in a wylde or 223
