clay dot ok for fire forming?

Ok so I found some alliant clay dot. I know its shotgun powder but will it work for fireforming? Or will a magnum primer not kick it off?

I'm having trouble finding any kind of pistol powders locally or online for fire forming. The clay dot shows to be in the top range on the burn charts. I've seen somewhere that a guy was using "clays" so I guess this "clay dot" will work ok. right?

Its for my 338/408I using Jamison 375ct brass

Yeahp this thread can be deleted. I confirmed that 40grns will do the job.
