Chronograph ?

How far in front of your rifle do you place your chronograph?

My Oehler 35P is mounted about 12ft. in front of the bench. That's not quite as far as the wires will reach.

It works perfectly with a rifle or shotgun w/slugs. Haven't tried this set-up with a handgun.

I have the RSI .. awesome love it...
I mount it 10 ft from the muzzle...
you also have the option for the screens to be 2,4, 6 ft apart...

Thanks guys. I was just worried the blast from the gun might damage the chronograph. Little new to using one of these with a rifle!!! I have a .243 i am trying to develop a load for; one day i shoot a .71 inch group next day i shot 1.3! I think it is just my shooting ability /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
