Anything special on scope/rings I need to worry about?

I'm going to put a small 1-8x on initially for close-in varmints but since this has taken a long-range turn I'm hoping I can use one of my big scopes in a Spuhr mount and not have to dedicate an expensive scope to pistols. But if I have to then I have to.

Who is doing the gunsmithing?
EGW 4 hole 20 MOA XP-100 picatinny rail
Have the gunsmith add a second tap at the back of the action for the scope Picatinny rail, and have the other three opened up for an 8 x 40 screw
An external bolt stop or bolt release will be nice. I believe Dell makes one of those as well that's fairly cheap.

Was planning on a local shop, at least up until you started saying add holes to the receiver. Anyone in specific that would have done that job before on an XP I should call?

I can tell you that 80gr Speer hot cores from a 15" 243 will absolutely smash deer under 200lb. This is a factory encore barrel slinging blue box federal ammo, 100yd 5 shot group was my first attempt no need to reload for it yet. Majority of the shots have been bang flop, the buck was 200lb field dressed and that's the first time I haven't gotten a pass through bullet was under hide on off side. It's accounted for a dozen or so from 25-250yd my go to deer killer for several years now.
