That's extremely embarrassing (and sickening) for me to watch. In "MY" jurisdiction they BOTH would be terminated and the one who actually discharged his weapon charged with at least Wanton Endangerment 1st degree…a Class "D" Felony.

Couple of real life Deputy Barney Fife's what they got there.. Would a liked to see Sheriff Grady Judd doing the morning debrief after that fiasco. Let e'm stay on the force. They can split the battle damage expenses , keep their guns but, no ammunition for 30 days!!

That's what make me nerves as hell. Being these police officers are being shot at and kill now days. I would think their head would be on a swivel all the time. I can't blame them either. My head even today is still on a swivel after being out of combat 56+yrs.
It really bug me in my younger years when being around a police officer and they had a firearm, and I didn't. Not as bad now thank God. I still don't go to areas where their hug groups of people. Cant' keep an eye on them all. If they aren't wearing GI green I didn't trust them.
I haven't been stop by law enforcement, in a vey long time. I know, I will keep my hand on the steering wheel and not move until told too. I can't blame them either. To horses play with a firearm is stupid as hell. You would think they would know better.
That's why I don't like humen targets. It's training you to shoot at people. Not learning how set up your firearm to be zero in or checking groups. That's why the armed forces use them, is to train you to shoot people, not rabbits of deer. They figure that out in the armed forces a long time ago.

I was in law enforcement for 46 years and retired from two different police agencies. Citizens would not believe what goes on behind the scenes. Over the years I investigated numerous complaints filed on officers for auto theft, drug possession, aggravated assault, sexual assault and the list goes on. Most of the time if it was a minor issue such as always late for roll call, excessive accidents, etc., they received a few days off or a letter of reprimand. I did have some cases where the officer was fired or sent to prison.

The overall majority are really good officers, however, there are always some that have trouble following guidelines, rules and the law. The same issues hold true in any type of employment where a large number of people are employed.

Always great to have a couple of clowns like this in the crew, makes a regular guy look good, just showing up in the morning. Never fire them for simple mistakes, they're gonna learn from it. Just hang with e'm, they'll have ur back.

Well based in what we see, they don't get anyone with morals or intelligence and have to settle for the low iq. What really grinds my gears is how they get away with murder, literally with no repercussions. Sure they get a few days off with pay, what the rest of us call vacation, at worst.
If they are actually fired, they will be hired by the next gang down the road.
We need to end qualified immunity and have the lawsuits payed by their retirement funds. We also need a real overwatch group to keep them in line. Every cop out there has broken the law or rights just to fuel their ego. All those that blindly lick their boots change their tune once they become a victim of the badge gang. There is no justice system, just tyrants allowed to do as they will. I hope one day people will wake up and demand justice for the innocent citizens...but not likely to happen.
