Opinions needed. What is a good bullet and a good weight for Whitetail Deer in 270 Winchester? Thanks in advance

I'll list a couple bullets that I would use for deer. Noslers 130, 140, 150 btips, 140g AB, 130-150g sst. Those are all plastic tip with higher BC's then there counterparts. The 140-150 sierra gameking is also working for me out to 800 yards. I just worked up a load with the 150g sst with h4831sc and its going 2850fps and .6 moa. The BC is around .525, highest BC hunting bullet available for .277. I would go with a 140 or 150 myself. Powders that are working well for me is h4831sc and RL-22.

140gr Ballistic Tip. Always worked great for me. If you really like the shoulder shot or if your deer are very large bodied you may wanna try the 140gr Accubond.

The following have never failed me....

Sierra 130 boat tail
Nosler 130 Ballistic Tip
Hornady 140gr SPBT Interlock.

The sierra and noslers gave similar performance.

I like the 140 Hor the best of the three. Penetration and terminal performance is outstanding plus its a flatter shooter. All 3 bullets are loaded to the same velocity.

i load up 130 nosler BT's for a friend. they shoot the best of anything else we tried using 63g of accurate magpro.

I like the 140 TSX in my 270 with Winchester case's, Federal 210 primers and 63 grains of H-1000

Another endorsement for the TSX, this time in 130 grains.

With W-W brass, Fed # 210 GM primers and 57 grains of Rel #19 velocity fronm a 22" barrel was 3000 fps with groups on 3 shots regular under .5"
