Exhausting the search bar and the answers I'm looking for are hit and miss.

Looking for COAL using the Berger 133's to determine if the 25 SST, 25 SAUM and 25 PRC will all fit in a BDL SA setup.

Also, looking for velocities for the above mentioned cartridges. Barrel length from 20-26" is fine, just looking for some data points.

@lancetkenyon

My 25sst with 135's coal is 2.825. I haven't looked for the 133's yet. I'm sure lance will chime in shortly. Mine is a 24 inch barrel and haven't gotten fps yet. Possibly next Friday as I just put a new scope on my sst. I'm not sure if you will get the saum to fit in a true short action. What are you considering a true short action for bdl? 2.80?
I will keep tabs on this thread and try to update if you'd like?

That'd be great.

Doing the research, a SA Wyatt's box is 2.850". Red Hawk also advertises a SA PRC of 2.985", but I don't have any experience with the PRC.

I just finished a regular 6.5 prc improved and the overall length was 2.950. It's my opinion that the sst will fit your needs best.

I swapped from a Wyatt's to a HS precision detachable with mine. Both the 135 and 133 fit fine and the mag can only fit 2.86". I initially started with a center feed Wyatt's then swapped out to a staggered feed Wyatt's because I put he center feed in my 338SS. Never could get the staggered to feed 100% so I picked up a HS. It feeds flawlessly.

Just got home and looked at my notes. CBTO to touch the lands was 2.18". Both my loads for the 133 and 135 I have set at 2.15" CBTO. So if my 133 load measures 2.82" COAL if I had it set to the lands COAL would be 2.85", which would just barely fit in the mag. This gun for some reason shoots better with jump so it all works out for me.

I also get around 100-150fps less than most data people post on this site. But the gun shoots lights out so I get over it.

Needs a 1-7 twist. Everything else is preference.

25SST w. 133 or 135 easily fit in a standard length SA mag box. Get a Wyatt's extended box and you are golden.

My 25SST is 2.803" COAL @ .010 jump. Making it 2.813" COAL @ lands.

I am running the 133s w. H1000 at an EASY 3187fps. I got 3300+ w. H1000.
RL23 will get 3350+.
I have a 135 LR Hyb load at 3321fps near max as well.

I have loaded for 5 different 25SSTs to date. H1000, RL23, N560, N565. The difference in velocity between 133s and 135s in miniscule.

Here is where I found the sweet spots.
20" 3025-3100fps
22" 3060-3130fps
24" 3120-3200fps
26" 3180-3300fps

Great to know.

What made you choose the SST over the SAUM/PRC?
