I have a Brand New Unfired Long Range AR for sale. I built this gun last summer and just never got around to shooting it. I am looking to get $3,000 OBO (TYD in Texas or TYFFL out of Texas) USPS Money order. I am in the San Antonio area if you want to meet up face to face. I built this gun with all top end components, the following are the specs.

Wilson Combat single stage 3# trigger
Wilson Combat NP3 Plated Bolt Carrier Group (NP3 is a surface treatment for steel and metal alloys that combines sub-micron particles of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), otherwise known as Teflon, with electroless nickel)
White Oak Precision 24" Stainless Match Fluted Heavy Barrel in 1' in 8" twist (Chamber is their version of 223 Wydle)
Magpul PRS w/adjustable comb and length of pull
Upper and lower parts kit are Wilson Combat as well.
Original Ergo right handed Grip
JP Rifle low profile gas block
DPMS full floating handguard

He said: (Chamber is their version of 223 Wydle) whatever that is?

BTW, wife kicked me out. Moving in next to Rooster in a card board box under the bridge.

I don't buy that for a minute. You can't afford it and neither can I. Besides, all I get is my pillow and no pillowcase.....:)

Sounds like a caliber that cost more for reloading dies to be custom made than it's worth. Just curious. Don't consider a 223 anything to be long range. Has to have a 3 number to qualify........

Lately, if it's industrial looking and has an adjustable stock and a black finish, it costs over 2500 bucks.

Long range does start in the .2? Range, .22-250, .260, .270 and so very many more. But .223, though ok for up to 350-500 yards accurately it's not a long range cal. The .3? Range does offer many fine options for long range, but if one is familiar with weight of bullet, grains of and types of powder and how to properly know which primer to set when the casing is sized, just about any caliber can be made for long range if one knows what they are doing and knows how to properly load/reload and studies how to properly make that shot. The one mile can be made even with different .22 caliber cartridges if one knows what they are doing and has help from a gunsmith. So very many factors, yes a custom .223 with properly loaded shells can and are used for long range.

223 Wydle is basically a chamber with dimension between 223Remington and 5.56 Nato. It allows you to shoot 223 or 5.56 without the pressure spikes you get from shooting 5.56 in a 223 only chamber. There are no special dies involved for reloading, you either load 223 or 5.56 and shoot it.

And no 223 is not usually considered a long range round, but this gun is considered long range as far as AR's go. I didn't build this gun with intentions of being a mile gun. I built it to shoot yotes, hogs, PD's, deer, steel plates, etc out to 600 maybe 700 yards, which it will do very effectively with the right load.

I have a feeling that your value went way down this afternoon. Feinstenin's bill died on the floor with (I believe 46 votes comitted). She needed 60 and Reid never called for a vote.

Back to normal programming at last.

I hope not, I got well over $2K in the gun, and that was at normal prices before the panic buying.
