Sorry I'm late to the party. Been busier than a one legged man in an *** kickin' contest!! Load for my AX is 100.5 gr retumbo pushing the 300 gr bullets about 2960 fps. Shot this bull w/the new 300 gr Berger and wasn't that impressed. Didn't get much expansion at all. I've shot several deer w/the 300 gr SMK and had better luck. If I had it to do over again I'd use the SMK. With that said, after seeing what that 7mm did to Lerch's bull at 1310 yds I am not sure I see the need for the 338!!
