best 308 twist

I'm going to rebarrel a 308 (24"). I believe a 1-10 twist is better than the 1-12. I will use it to hunt deer and use the 150 grain bullets. Reason for the 1-10 is my 30/06 I have is 1-10 shoots great with a 150 at 2950fps. opinions ?

12x is near impossible to beat in a 308 with 150-155 grain pills. 10x will work but IMHO, is better suited for 190-210.
