Berger Bullets in 250 and 300gr.

I shoot a 338 RUM, thinking about trying some Bergers...Looking at their site, quick reference link shows the 250 and 300 is a tactical bullet..Not a hunting bullet...read plenty about the success everyone has had with the 300....Also have read to, make sure and use the hunting VLD and not the target version on ELK and Deer....Heard they were coming out with a hunting version of the 250...ARE THESE BULLETS BASICALLY THE SAME OR WHAT.. thanks Guys...gun)
