Does anyone know about these rifles?

I know that Bergara makes custom rifles but didn't know that they made this series.

Man I don't know about Bergara rifles but I have a Bergara 300wm barrel on a Savage 111 action and it drves tacks!!!

I don't know if I just got a good barrel, I have a great load ,or if Bergara barrels are all like this but I'm impressed .

I kind of don't like to brag about foreign (Brazil ) made products but this barrels smokes !

That is a track driver for sure you have their, I have heard that the barrels are amazing and yours just reassures it, Im going to do more research on the rifle, but I don't know if you can go wrong with Bergara making a rifle for hunters. Its like what Nosler did with their M48 Patriot/Liberty series. Thanks for sharing

Yes. I believe he helped them set up their tooling and was commissioned for consultant.

There barrels are actually made in Spain. The name comes from the town in the Basque region of Spain where they are clocated.

Bergara B 14 builds on the Rem 700 concept, but the quality management at Bergara seems to be (much) better than that one of Remington. ;-)The B 14 model delivers top performance concerning all aspects for a very reasonable price tag. They are tack drivers and are not in need of any upgrade when coming right "out of the box". Tests in Europe have been more than promising. @Feenix is right, thanks to Ed Shilen and his know-how.

I have one of these Bergara rifles in .308 cal. Was very easy to work up an accurate load for. My intent in buying this was to dedicate it to my primary practice rifle but after seeing it perform on such a consistent and repetitive manner that may change next hunting season. If you have any particular questions feel free to ask.

Hey Guys.

I'm a beginner with this site but I wanted to share my initial observations on the B-14 Hunter.

I just picked up the rifle today and it appears to be well made. The stock seems more substantial than the current T3 synthetics and the fit is very good. I adjusted the trigger to around 2.5lbs while I had the action out to run some Patch Out through it. I gave it a good cleaning and man, they pack some grease in these things! Now that it's clean I'll begin the barrel break-in. The manual actually does recommend a break in which is rare in an owners manual. This is solid advice and I would attribute the recommendation to the fact that Bergara has had a long history as an upper level barrel manufacturer.

There were no scary surprises when I went through the gun while I had the stock off and I'm pretty meticulous. I'll mount my older VX-III 6.5-20x50mm target optic while I break it in and I'll keep it on while I check out what the rifle can do. I'll put that optic back on my 220 Swift and by then I should have the new Tract Optics Toric 3-15x50mm in my hands. I really wanted a solid SC Whitetail rifle that can perform well in the 100-500 yard range and I'm not dropping custom money on this one. If the Bergara and Tract do what I think they'll do, I may have a T3 killer on my hands. FYI, I piked up the Bergara for $599.99 and the Tract retails for $724.

Scope bases will definitely fit and replacement triggers most likely. The differences between a Rem 700 and B 14 are marginally small.
