Or maybe just plain jerk! Good luck!
Okay, I will just own this fact that I am a 4th gen Californian, but all generations have been Reagan style conservatives and are from rural CA. With that said, I just retired from Law enforcement and am looking for a safe semi rural place to raise my family. Gun rights are paramount, good big game hunting, and the ability to be left alone. I mind my own business, and don't ever want to turn the place i move to into California. Every state I look at, it seems they are not far from becoming blue. I lived in NV and would not even consider it now since the libs have a super majority there, with Reno and Vegas controlling the state.

In the end times, which it seem we may be in, The lord said, "GET YE UP INTO THE HIGH MOUNTAINS." I moved to northern New Hampshire and loving it! I was in Conneticut and hating it! I once lived in California back in the late 60-early 70s. It wasn't bad then! What the heck happened????? Those **** Liderals can destroy anything!!!!

As long as liberals own the media-education complex, this will only get worse.

The second part of my message was cut but it said;

Move to a state where you have a fighting chance and be ready to organize and fight for your rights. Unfortunately, this fight will last at least the rest of our lives and the lives of our children. It's what must be done if we want the rights that we cherish to live on.

Utah has way to many Californians attempting to turn it into another ghost state. Not my choice to live here, my wife's dream home became available 5 years ago, so we moved. My consolation prize is a 50 foot wide, 35 foot deep garage / shop (basement and main floor) garage on main floor due to terrain) which is under construction.

Can't stop them from coming. They're fleeing state they ruined. Just gotta convince them of that. I'm doing my part in that regard to liberal transplants down here in Texas.

Texas is gone. We are giving our country away.

Not yet! I work at a tech company with a lot of young Texans who are smart common sense guys. It's mostly people from the north that roll lulu left. Even the Indian immigrants go to shooting ranges here. A lot of them have common sense too, because they believe in self-reliance and freedom.

From Calif. living in Dallas, I wanted to spray paint red circle/slash on all the God*mn Beto signs on a-holes' lawns. But this is America and the we have the 1st Amendment and all...so I refrained.

Dallas used to be the Republican exception years ago, but is getting more like Austin. West Texas is very conservative. Beto was so popular here that people had to buy his signs! I don't think the Cartel gave him enough money for signs.

Arizona-Texas-Utah and believe it or not Washington. Two of my best Friends, both retired one LAPD & one OCSD. In Washington.. One moved to Longview and the other to Ellensburg,Wa. They both tell me it's a strong 2nd amendment state. VERY RED!

I'm likely an anomaly here - I'm a total liberal, but I love guns, shoot, reload, carry, and hunt. Don't fish so much because I currently live in the mountains and don't care for freshwater fish. Mostly me and my liberal gun friends just want to be left alone. My biggest issue ie people. Every where I go, there's more and more. Last bow-hunt I had there were hikers, mountain bikers, wood cutters, and grazing permit cattle everywhere even after a day's hike into a wilderness area. Long gone are the days that I could hunt public land anywhere and never see another person. That said, my vote is for Wyoming or northern Idaho, although the more time I spend in Texas, it looks like I just may decide to retire there.

We retired to Utah 5 years ago (from Ventura County), for the exact reasons you state, and at the time, I thought we had made a good choice. It's still a good place to live, but I am afraid of what is happening here. Salt Lake City (and it's surrounding cities) and St. George, are the major population centers. They both are increasingly populated by liberals. Our Lt. Governor just announced that he is going to run for governor and he also appears to be a closet liberal. If you can hack the weather, I would look at Montana.

What happens in California happens to the rest of the country. I grew up in a red county that is rural. Everyone I knew was conservative and hunted. Like I said, it was Reagan Country. Then the state became more liberal in the urban areas. The population of Los Angeles, Sacramento and the Bay area changed our politics. Just like Portland controls Oregon, Vegas controls NV, Boise will control Idaho and a list of others around the country. I did not see it as Californians changing the California I grew up in. If you know history, everyone moved to California after WW2 and it continued for 50 years. They came from other places. It was rare to see families from California. Now everyone blames the Californians for changing their state. My county is still red but it is becoming purple because all the rock climbers from urban areas are moving here. They learned about this place from the internet. Now I see liberal greenies everywhere and a few rednecks. It has changed. But is it really California or just years of liberal media, liberal educators, the internet, etc? I view it more as city people out numbering us rural people. Hell, I heard a statistic that said 60% of millennials view socialism as better than capitalism. I need to live where the mule deer roam, I enjoy four seasons, I hate heat and humidity, and most of all, I don't play well with liberals. It's been that way all my life and I'm a native Californian. I was thinking Montana but foresee Bozeman and Missoula turning that state Blue. I was in Missoula this last summer and it was more liberal than most towns in CA, because I think they have something to prove. It's insane. Wyoming may be in my future.

Spot on Sheepdawg! WWII our parents moved to Calif. from across the nation. It is the liberal media and schools. City lulus outnumber rural people, and they look at them as uneducated hicks. We have to find a way to change their thinking. Hopefully if he can't deport them, Trump will dump so many illegals into LA and SF that they'll wake up to the horror they're creating. On the other hand, they might just blame the problem in front of them on Trump and the "right". But when taxes on middle class workers hit 50%, they may reconsider.
