bedding/ recoils lug question

I had a quick question, I just got an aftermarket precision recoil lug for my savage build and it is .07 longer than the factory lug and it doesn't fit the bedding block in my hs precision stock. Should I A: grind .07 off the bottom of the lug?
B: drill .07 out of the block?
Or C: make up the difference skim bedding the gun?

If it was me, I'd grind the lug. You'll still have to do some spot-bedding, right?

I'm trying to decide if I want to bed it or not, the stock has a full length bedding block in it but I have a 30" bull plus brake and I'm thinking I should probably skim bed and add some support for the first few inches of barrel.

Is the lug causing the action to rock and bind in the stock? If it is, definitely take some material off the lug. Every rifle that I have bedded that have bedding blocks in them have benefited in one way or another, mostly accuracy, even if it is just a little.

Right now the action /barrel pivot on the lug right now. The sides and front of the lug has space its just the depth it sits in the block.

Mill out the stock to accept the recoil lug, then bed the lug area.

+1 .07+ is easily removed, even if you only have hand tools.

I always deepen the lug area when I bed a rifle.

Id grind the lug and after I had made my fit...THEN Id babed the lug.
