Axis Deer Vitals

slip it in just forward of the rib cage. don't hit the shoulder, you'll be sorry you wasted the meat. I mostly neck shoot them. They are big but they die fairly easy. Try to wait until they are relaxed, they can run a fair distance. I use SST's in my 308 & 6.5 grendel on them mostly. most of my shots are 75 to 250 yard range

I haven't shot a whitetail in years....these taste way better!

Straight up front arm. Center shoulder. They are very weak deer. I've had more than one archer make a HORRIBLE shot on a high fence ranch. Usually recovered in less than 50 yards. Not promoting bad shots just an FYI.
