AR-10 build

What is accomplished by removing a bolt ring? I'm not familiar with this….
the ejector has (sometimes) 2 or 3 o-rings instead of a spring. by removing 1 it lessens the extractor tension. what was happening was during extraction it wouldn't eject due to being stuck to the extractor.
 
Build is complete. Aero upper, lower, BCG, handguard, BA barrel, SA gas block, Geissele SSA-E trigger.

Quickly worked up a load with 4895 and a 150 grain Hornady SP.

10 shot group averaging 2660 with an SD under 10.

IIRC, under the tail-end of the extractor, Aero & Brownells 308 BCG have a double-spring, AND two O-rings. Removing one of the O-rings reduces the extractor tension on the cartridge case rim a little.

watch out for that little inner spring, if you drop that, you might never find it.

removing an O-ring is an easy thing to experiment with if a tight extractor is suspected.
