Anybody an enfield authority?

There's an enfield nearby (eddystone type) with a semi heavy 300 win barrel. I have read that enfields are notoriously inaccurate but there are some exceptions. Anything i should look for? What can i do to it myself to help it shoot. I love using surplus rifles to hunt. I would imagine that somebody may have known what they were doing id they spent the time to build it...... or not. Any input would be greatly appreciated thanks ps its 350 bucks

I got a nicely sporterized version from my grandfather that was a lot of fun to shoot and picked up a good Eddystone action I am holding on to in case I ever decide to build a .577 Tyrannosaur
