As our elk herd grows records are always going to be broken, with all the publicity being given to the #4 hunter harvested bull 455, another record almost went unnoticed, the story appears in this months "bowhunting"...ElkCoOutfitters guided this hunter to another 400 inch mega giant..I'll try to find some better pics for ya'...got some from my friends at ECO...

Holy crap! What the heck do they eat in PA?!

Looks like it might prey on smaller elk or deer.
first off congrats to the lucky hunter and NO dis respect meant to him

But as to what they eat in PA, well I don;'t think its a food deal!

IMO< there has been a LOT of inbreeding in the elk herd in pa, to get the numbers up and as such, and that created a LOT of non typical antler from that, again no bash,
its just what it is IMO< and I base this on what I have seen on some elk farms I Know of that also have /had inbreeding issue's,
and then ended up with a bunch of non typical antlers on there elk from doing so!( I even have some sheds off one bull)

its just like why us humans are not supposed to marry our family members , still applies to other species IMO
