Best shot group yet with the 17WSM,Kelblys today, had to wait to shoot in between wind gusts of 10 to 15 mph.Shot Winchester, and Hornady 20 grain @3000 fps, both shot identical in this 7 shot group one flyer.but still a kill. This was witnessed by one of the range owners. Tomorrow all day Groundhogs, hopefully no misses.

Savage 17 WSM,heavy barrel-threw Savages plastic stock in the garbage. Replaced it with a Boyds Classic in forest green camo laminate,Kelblys, floated and bedded the action to the stock. Two pound trigger, and I practice relentlessly.

Very nice ! I'm assuming 100 yds?
Yes sir 100 yards, the range owner who tuned the rifle was their as a witness, not that he was needed just wanted to see if the rifle shot better than before being bedded and free floated.I took a shot at 200 yards and will post the picture later. I practice relentlessly, practice makes almost perfect, just a habit being in LE 23 years.

I like that! I'm hoping my Ruger #1 comes in as accurate, but I'll be happy with consistency, even at one and half inch at 100. Well, not ecstatic, but kinda happy.

Before i threw the worthless plastic stock away, and had the free float and bedding an inch and a half would have been a good day. Good luck with the Ruger,I'm sure it will get er done.

I'm sure the Smith and a Lilia barrel should work well together. .might be Sept. before I get it.
I'm sure that's a winner, but with the way I';m shooting i'll stick with it. Lilja makes an awesome barrel blank.
