Hillsider69, I live very close to where your gunsmith lives. I also have a house up by him that my son and daughter live in. Next time I'm up there, if you would like, I could politely inquire about about the statis of your gun.
I don't know who it is but from the distance from Salt Lake that you're describing he shouldn't be too far from me. If LRSickle isn't able to help you out (it sounds like he has it in hand though) then just PM me and I'd be happy to call him and try to get status for you to save on over-seas phone bills.
