Accuracy Problem with silencer

Hello

I have recently installed a silencer on my 270 Mauser which I use on the farm for general shooting. The groups are sub MOA.

But when I shot 5 pigs yesterday in quick succession as it goes with hog hunting the gun started shooting everywhere. The first 5 fell with heads shots but then I hit the 6th high in back and 7th in the stomach.

Can a silencer cause problems if it heats up or should I look for other causes?

Any advice will be appreciated.

They definitely get hot fast, but I would test on some paper and see what you get. Were these relatively close shots?
