7x57 Mauser for Mule Deer?

I have just purchased a Ruger Model 77R in 7x57 Mauser, it came witha Ramline Stock and a New Weaver K-6 scope. Is this adequate for Mule Deer in South Eastern Montana?

Ballistically, it is right there with a 7mm-08 (can slightly beat it with handloads). As has been said, no doubt it will kill any muley out there.
