75 Amax 223 long Range

The fires in the area are bringing in animals off the desert this
is has caused a problem.
Have a 223 that I plan on to thinout some of the unwanted pest.
The hope is to get load data for the 75gr Amax to shoot 600yds or so.
The rifle has a 1/8 twist with a 24" barrel.

I don't understand what you mean ?

There are fires mostly in the mountains and pests? are coming there from the desert?

Coyotes ? maybe -eating fire cooked rodents ?

The 223 w/a fast twist barrel is an awesome target rifle -the 75gr a max should plant varmints way out there. Good luck -Mike

The fire east of Shoshone and north of Jerome almost 8,000 acres North of
Shoshone by the Ice Caves over a 1,000 acres, now the Murphy complex
650,000, the fire east of Jerome and the story goes on not just the mountains.
We live in some of the desert country and badgers, racoons, skunks and several other pests. They come in and fight with our dogs, eat our cats
and then the distemper in the livestock seem to rise, nest in machinery,
there is a need to limit some of the problems. As for the coyotes leave them
alone for the most part to eat the smaller pests until they cross the line..

10-4 ---------223/75gr a max should do the trick..

Try H4895, LC cases, older nickel plated WSR primers (harder cup resists piercing) if you can find them, Hornady 75 Match in my Rock River Arms 16", 1:9 twist AR pushing 2750 fps, if the Amax wont group. That 2750 fps is NATO spec velocity. Don't try to get that speed unless you REALLY know how to watch for and measure for pressures.
