Someone has to be using N565 in this cartridge!
Ran a test with H4350, H4831SC, N555, N560, N565, H1000, RL23, RL26. / LRP & LRPM. With 184-F hybrid
400 rounds later:
N566 & H1000 were the best for combined. ES/SD/velo/accuracy
H1000 had a slight edge in accuracy
N565 a slight edge in velocity

H1000 was the only one that liked a magnum primer.

My 7 saum makes me laugh.
I have no idea where my bullets are even seated in reference to the lands.
I just seated the 168 to mag length and they shot dang near one holers at 100 and tiny groups at long range switch over to 175 elites and didn't even touch the seating die I just seated them in and it fit the mag.
Shoots dang near one holers at 100 and groups like the previous page every time.

Family is here for christmas. They wanted to shoot some. I got the one I was shooting yesterday out and just shot a 1/2" with the 195's at 300 yard target. We were having a shooting contest. I got the pot!!! They blamed cause it was my gun. Whatever.

I named that rifle Richey after Richard

But the book is not using ADG brass. ADG is pretty clear and tells you to start lower than book and work up….let us know what works in your rifle when you get it all setup and hammering!!
I went out shooting today with the 7 saum, the 2 best groups I got, are attached. I will have to do some seeding depth testing next. Was having issues with the lab radar today so no FPS. I never found pressure at 64 or 64.5.

It's a 22 inch proof barrel. Impact action and manners stock.

These are the exact results I had with my 7saum & the 180 Hybrid….settled on 62.0 of H1000 Fed215m 2800fps 22"benchmark

1) Good shooting
2) get a Garmin Chronograph, they are as good as you hear they are. Even better then the Andiscan (2,684 shots with out missing one) and super easy and fast to use.

I saw pressure signs with mild ejector marks at 65.5ish of h1000. Bolt got a tiny bit sticky on the 4th or so round. That is why I backed off to 64ish. Gotta love the SAUMs. My 20" proof was shooting 64.5 at 2795fps. Curious how much faster yours will be with the extra 2".

Mine has missed 1 reading on a subsonic .308, out of hundreds & hundreds so far, .224 to .308 of all speeds.
not sensitive to brakes or any sensible placement on the bench.

There was a garmin out at the range today, very nice!! I'm just not wanting to spend 700 bucks right now on another chronograph.

Here's my F-class load.
ADG - 180 hybrid- .75 jump - 58 N555 - Fed 210
Bartlien 30" 1:8.4 TW. Chrono 100 shots in strings of 20 in 100 degree weather. ES 25.2 SD 5.5 - 2930 fps

here's a picture of 24 shots from my seating test at 1000 yards. It's a 6.5-inch by 4.6 inch group. Within the group is a 3 shot 2.3 X .85 Inch group that was the .75 jump I ended up using.

Is that seating depth correct?
