7 prc load help

I have a 7mm prc , love it, its a Wilderness HMR CF wears a Area 419 4 slot brake, I can bench it shoot 1 handed and it is not really BAD, I have a 3-18 Strike Eagle with extra high rings with a bubble, trigger is set at 8 ounces. I use 180 Hornady match with Peterson Brass and CCI 250's. Had a can on it ,took it off as after about 10 rounds the heat transfer to the carbon barrel ruined accuracy and recoil management was nil. Put the Area 419 back on and Wala accuracy came right back. I use StaBll HD , have worked with this load in sub zero and up to the mid 80's my SD's from 45-85 degrees for a 20 round stretch is 7.4 fps, 2922 velocity , I use the StaBall HD for that reason and it is not a PORSHA price on the shelf, Pete
Great info I was thinking about the staball hd line

My load I just did with lapua brass, fed 215m's, nosler 175 accubond lr's. Proof 22" prefit. 68.75 gr h1000 @ 2904 FPS. Its shooting 1/4" moa. Might be my best group ever. I went up to 70 gr in my load development and got 2965 fps out of it. According to hornady they max out at 64.3 grains. I never really saw pressure. At 70 gr i might have very faint ejector marks. I wouldn't load hornady brass! Run peterson or lapua. I have 1x peterson brass I bought off another member. I would let it go if you are interested. I ended up finding lapua brass which I think is the best IMO. Good luck!

That is real good performance.
My 162g ELDX over 69. 2 of H1000 was just under what I consider to be max load with a 162. the V=3120 and is all I could ever need for white tail.

This is what we were planning on doing I like the ABLRs assuming we get them to tune well how much of a jump did you give them? He's using a proof prefit for a defiance

I honestly didn't even get to my normal seating depth test. What I loaded is 40-50 thousands jump. It just shot so good im going to leave it. The reason I dont know is because my modified case wouldn't fit in my chamber! I ended up ordering a new one. I do have the new modified case and can tell you exactly what I did once I get home from work.

Yea man if you don't mind lmk we ordered everything yesterday so we should be at the range next week testing these guys out. I read on noslers website that they pretty much tell people to start their load dev at the saami col so we will probably do that. We are not expecting crazy velo from this gun at a 20 in barrel. If we can run a 175 at 2800-2850 we will be more than happy with it. As long as she's accurate

I tried 175 eld-x's too. They shot well too. Every proof barrel i have had have all been shooters! Im shooting suppressed and i noticed i get about 50 fps faster with the can. All of my barrels have gotten faster after 100-150 rounds.
