Have just about finished developing a load in my 6.5x47 with a 24.5" Broughton, 8 twist. The sweet spot seems to be 36.3 gr of Varget for 2830 fps with a CCI BR primer. Wether I use unfired or fired brass, their seems to be a point in the seating process when the bearing surface/boat tail junction passes the shoulder/neck junction, the effort to seat the bullet increases. At first I thought I had doughnuts in my fired cases. Tried 12 new cases and the same results. Just finished a seating depth test and 3.065" using the Hornady Lock-N-Load comparator, puts the bullet about .02" off the lands gives me .5 MOA 3-shot groups. I'm satisfied with the accuracy and velocity. Just worried about the increased seating pressure. Any one seen similar increase in seating pressure with TSX, TTSX or any of the X bullets at or near the same juncture?
