6.5 WSM Loads

Running retumbo now with a 140 eld, have ran rl23, just seeing where I can get on 6.5 wsm headstamped brass. Will try the 147 and a 130, might try a couple other powders as well, but rite now just testing brass

Rl33 ended being the ticket. 147m at 3308 11fps spread. 6.5/7wsm 27" bbl.
Had to give up speed for case fill. Made it into the 3400's with retumbo, h1000, and 26, but case fill was lacking and made it erratic

My pet load is 65.5 grains of Magpro, F215GM, 140 Berger VLD right at 3150. Would group in the .2's. I could push that load up to nearly 3300, but accuracy would suffer. I got over 1000 rounds out of that rifle, then had it rebarreled. Had to adjust the load down a bit for the new barrel, but 64.2 grains of Magpro gets me 3150 and in the .3's.

Magpro work well for me but I found it to be to temp unstable so I settled on H1000 at 3220 with the 140 VLD in a 26" tube

I have the retumbo, I can get h1000, rite how I only have 1 firing on my new brass, so either tonight or tomorrow I will have load 2 fired and see how much it changed.

Retumbo shows decent speed, I just need to get the accuracy. Which is semi relative since it is a rechambered tikka 6.5 creedmoor barre now at 23.5".

Trying some 4831 sc now, will maybe try some h1000. Have been 3200 to 3300 with retumbo, but with high pressure 23.5" barrel

Try rl 23 too. Might be the sleeper.. my load is h-1000 right at 3180-3200 with 140..
