Curious who has loads worked up with either N560 or N565 with the 147's. I have 210M primers also. Thank you for any info!

Standard chamber in a short action also.

This isn't for the 147gr Hornady bullet but might give you some info. These were shot out of a 24" Proof barrel that had less than 50 rounds down it. Not sure what the final velocity will be after it gets a few more rounds down it.

That does help actually! I was considering starting at 59gr. N565 for the 147. Looks like that's a safe spot since you already ran that charge behind a 156

I can't remember what my oal length is but this is built on a medium action with the bullets seated out there a ways. I used the Alex Wheeler reamer spec also.

I'll be testing these soon. 210M's and N565. Seated at 2.96 COAL. 58, 58.5 & 59 gr.

59 is a pretty dang full case coming up just below the neck in this once fired Lapua brass. A lot of powder displacement going on when I seat that 147 ELDM in there. 140's might have been a better call, but we'll see how these shoot.

I went w/ N560 because of this. Cartridge is ADG/GW brass, 156EOL at 3.000 COAL or 2.310 CBTO, 215M @ 0.025 jump. Sub 1/2 MOA at 200 yds. 54.5g on new brass. No pressure signs but also haven't chrono'ed. Need to get back to the range. Might be able to catch the next node. Barrel is 24" #4 Bartlein 5R.

The 58gr. starting load of N565 yielded too much pressure and was right around 2900fps. in my 20" barrel.

I'm going to either test 140 ELDM or 135 A-tips next. I like to be right around that 3000fps range.

That's a little surprising considering I was over that with 156gr Berger's. I could have went higher with my charge but was definitely out of case capacity and also the groups were getting bigger.

Those eld's must take more pressure to get them down the barrel.

I'd like to try N560 also but couldn't find any at the time so I went with the N565.

I thought the same thing honestly. But 100% too much pressure, at least in my rifle. They do have quite the bearing surface on them, but not sure how they compare to a 156. I just know, I'm going to go small and lighter haha.

Here's a 143 eld-x next to 156gr Berger. Definitely more bearing surface on the Hornady.
