Thanks to anyone that can offer up a couple recipes to share. My daughter has a deer hunt in CA and our normal load of 143 ELDX's with H4350 will not be aloud. I made up a load using 127LRX's and they printed well at 100 but but the dope didn't pan out and I feel like I've been chasing my tail. Any success stories out there with copper in 6.5 creeds?

I have used Hammer Hunter in 124gr in my 6.5 Creed, they are accurate and doesn't require a lot of tweaking to get them to shoot consistently. I took a buck with one the first year I used them, this was shot behind the shoulder a pass thru destroyed all lungs, he ran maybe 40 yards and summersaulted. When skinning him, there was no bloodshot damaged meat, did not have any waste as I would have had with cup and core bullets. I have not had the time or opportunity to test them out past 200 yards, others will probably chime in on how they perform out to 600+ yards.

I had outstanding results from 127 LRX in my 6.5 Creed. I had to tune the seating depth a little but ended up good results at 100 and verified out to 900. I did not try to go to the Higher end of the powder recommendation because it just shot such good groups. Went on to kill a few pigs dead dead with one empty case for one pig.

Oh yea… be certain to start with a clean barrel, lead and copper do not mix well. One day I shot the LRX for 20 or 30 rounds and decide to finish off with a few 147 ELDMs. Now this 147 load was my go to range round that was lights out for any distance. But after the 127s I was hitting way off of normal even a chip shot of 450 yard was 6" high. After about 10 rounds the 147s settled back down and began to shoot normal. Clean barrel makes everything come back to expected first shot results. Now I just make sure I only shoot one or the other in between cleanings.

Clarify, "dope did not pan out…"
Starline brass LRP
BR2 primers
40.4 H4350
127 LRX .050 off

Gun is trued Rem 700
Bartline barrel 23 in barrel with brake

Load showed a 2736 average on the magneto

All plugged into Geo Ballistics left me with 8.5 MOA at 475 and it was way over. It did seem like a lot for that distance. I was wanting to just walk it back and make a correction on the app. However my home range is so over grown with weeds I can't even see my misses to walk it in.

I'm thinking the BC or my Magneto isn't reading the FPS correctly.

Ok I'll definitely give them a try. I'm not a speed nut but it would be nicer to move these along a little faster. Our normal load for target and out of state hunting is 143 eldx at 2700 and my son dropped a cow elk last year one shot at 583. I hate copper but if I wanna hunt here I gotta use it.

Use good judgment to create your own…Don't try this at home…

Garbage in, garbage out of your ballistics app is why it is not predicting correctly. You don't need new bullets, powder, etc. since you said your loads grouped well. You need to look at each line in your ballistics app and determine what is causing the error. Maybe have a friend or your daughter look at your app with fresh eyes.
