50 bmg reloading help

I've been trying to find powder weights to reload my 50 bmg. What I'm wanting is to load them light so my powder will last longer and not destroy my back stop.

I read some on subsonic loads but what do you do with all that extra room left from only using 38 grams of shotgun powder when there is room for 225grs?

Any help would be great.

Affording the shells isn't an issue. At $1.89 a round it's cheeper than most mags and 12 ga turkey loads. Just want to load lighter loads for shorter ranges and less damage to my back stop.

35 g of red dot and 700 to 750 g bullet
