A friend and i have just recently (last 8 months) gotten into the long range shooting sport. Neither of us have much experience in this sport so its been a lot of info learned in a short time with wind, mirage, fine tunning drop charts. We went out again yesterday for only the third time ever to shoot at 1000 and 500. It was middle of the day light cloud cover and topped out at bout 78 deg. Which was extremely nice from the recent 100+ days we were having. So i was shooting my 7.82warbird 30" hart 1:12 lonewolf stock nesika bay action and jewel varmit for 1000 and a stock rem 700 acc sd 308 20" barrel at 500.. my buddy was shooting his savage 300wsm that he rebarreled and trigger job. Pics are all first three shots from rifles. Pic that has four bullet splatters is his 300 wsm the left 3 is his groupd right in there at 5.25-5.5" pic with hand is my warbird 5.75" one next to bulls was first shot those are at 1000yds next is my rem 700 308 at 524yds 2" group.. all in all we have been having a blast shooting long range we have gone to 1400 with successful hits and i cant wait till our skills improve and those groups tighten up
