I've got a new rifle build with a H-S precision varmint stock. The rifle is built off a Defiance Classic action with their 20moa base. I installed a set of Vortex 30mm "low" rings which have a .90" height, according to the literature. The scope is still too high. Are there 30mm rings that could get me to ,80" or lower?

BTW - I'm not interested in adding a comb riser.

Lowest I am aware of are APA, they do a 30mm at .750"

Burris signature zee rings 30mm at .81"
PN: 420588

arc xlow are .79 I believe, can always stick a riser pad on the comb as well. defiance throw that bolt handle up pretty high sometimes so you may want to rig it up and see what clearance you need for that

If you are interested in the Seekins .82, send me a PM-We might can work out a trade for your .90.

To my knowledge, Ferrell Industires make the lowest rings.

Good rings too. I have used his mediums because they fall between NF low and medium.

Hennebergee are going to be the lowest you can find at .728". They call them 3.5mm, that's to the bottom of the ring.

The lowest 30mm rings on the market are Ken Farrell's at 0.735" from top of pic rail to center of scope.

Ken also has a much better cross-bolt design than the other two low options that are Seekins and APA, because the claw that grabs the rail is not made unnecessarily thin underneath a pair of recessed screw heads. He instead uses a much larger screw which bears against the outside surface of the clamp, much like other ring designs that use a 1/2" hex nut.

Dang, that is low. Never seen those before.

I do prefer a bigger, non-recessed crossbolt head but those look like the go-to if absolute lowest scope height is the priority.
