Comparing scope rings for the lowest mount possible for a given objective lens size.
For example, Burris measures from the base to the bottom of the tube. LaRue measures from the base to the center of the ring. Some use mm and some use inches to measure the height of their rings so it's difficult to compare manufacturers.
So all experienced "Mounting Men", get out your rulers and start measuring!
Let's see who knows how use his equipment to get the tightest gap between barrel and objective.

How much gap between scope and barrel?
