Anyone try 208gr or 210gr bullets with reloader-23? I have 208gr eld-m bullets to be exact.

I was looking for some start and max loads. I wanted to see what everyone was using.

Most of the time when I start a load my coal is 3.530" to 3.550" (.030" to .010" off the lands)

any help with rl-23 and 208gr (or 210gr) bullets would be great.

I do ladder test too.

Thank you

That powder might be a bit fast for a magnum with the heavier bullets... I'd try some IMR 7977, 8133, Hodgdon H1000, RL-33, or Vhitavuori N570.

Per Alliant data somewhere around 73.0 grains would be max load with RL-23 and your bullet. The burn rate for that powder is 0.4090 per Quickload and H4831SC is 0.4301 (bigger numbers are faster burning). Both of those powders will work but are on the faster side. RL-26 (burn rate 0.3397) is on top of the velocity list so might be a better performing powder but I'm guessing you are after the very stable temp performance you get with RL-23 and don't get with RL-26.
