300 rum interest?

Wife has been out of work for a while and we've been dipping into savings more than id like to so im looking at options. Don't really want to sell for a big loss so I'm trying to gauge interest and info if I do decide to sell, what kind of price do you think I could get out of my 300rum!?

Rem700ss rifle/action,action threads chased, action face squared, trigger tech primary trigger, gretan firing pin replaced the j-lock, mbm 5 port ss brake timed to barrel turned to same profile as barrel with 5/8x24 threads, 26" Proof research cf barrel chambered to 300rum , grayboe outlander kryptek hylander camo stock ( bedded), leupy 20 moa rail, and trijicon 10mile 4-24 scope ( tempted to keep the scope and seekins rings if I sell the rifle) 10 lb 5 oz with 4 rounds of ammo -- bought rifle from another member here, looked to be unfired or very low round count, I have put less than 100 rounds through it,- shoots 230 otm's at 3020fps @ 1/2 moa and 215s at 3130 with same accuracy.

I also have 150 adg brass, about 100 1x fired and 50 new, 400 230gr otm bullets, and Redding comp micrometer die set

Adding up all the parts/supplies-- it would be about $5500+ for all of it

If I were to sell it, how much do you think I could get for it all?

I know, it's worth what someone is willing to pay--- was hoping to get a feel for market value from people who have bought/sold similar

You asked for opinions, so I will give mine. I think you will do really well to net $2600-2800 out of the rifle and rail without the scope if it was built by a known smith. A few hundred less if the builder wasn't one of the favored names. Once fired brass maybe .80 cents to a dollar, new brass maybe 1.25 each. Scope and rings I don't know. Bullets are about 60 cents each shipped. The Redding dies will go maybe $175. It totals a lot less than you have in it but that's what I am seeing for value. It's a really nice package, I'd love to have it in my safe.

Thanks for the honest opinion, so you are thinking around $3500 package deal with out scope, kinda the ballpark i was imagining

Honestly, I wouldn't expect much over $2k for the rifle only. People will look at the action (without bolt mods), barrel, and stock.
Action is a factory action
Barrel is a good one
Stock is a less expensive brand
Trigger is basic
You didn't mention bottom metal
Scope is mid-tier at best

Unfortunately, you can't price everything as new individual parts. They are used,and you usually lose pretty much all labor costs in a used sale. Even on a full custom with top of the line parts.

I have sold a bunch of semi-custom rifles, and if you want them sold fast, you are going to take a big hit. Price it too high, means you really don't want to sell it. You need to find that one right person who wants a semi-custom NOW.

I have sold several high end well made customs "used" in the $3500 to $3000 range (Shipped and insured), with brass and loaded rounds, no optics. I have sold high end semi-customs with dies and brass in the $1700-$2200 (shipped and insured) range with no glass. Your setup is nice, and if you can find the guy that wants that exact thing, a fair price to both of you will be found.

I would think you will be in the $2200-$2500 shipped (no glass as 99% of buyers don't want a scope that is currently attached to any rifle for sale) range unless you have a buddy or someone close by that knows you through someone else that would give you a little more in a face to face situation. Used guns are getting harder to sell with the issues of shipping multiplying, and the cost to ship and insure going up dramatically.

As previously stated the market will eventually set the price but I think the ranges above will be on the high end.

Very sorry to hear your wife is out of work and you are looking to liquidate some hunting toys. I hope things turn around for you quickly and if you decide to sell, you get a fair price for both parties.

Shipping is my main issue, my local usps stores are not gun friendly so tring to ship a rifle becomes a big deal/lots of arguing.
I did use ship my guns/ups twice, once for a pistol ( which they insisted they had to inspect the pistol before I boxed it)-- the 2nd was a rifle which went smoother but was still arguments until I produced extra documentation in writing to inform them of their enrollment rules--- msin problem with ship my guns is it must go th r ought a hub, which in my area only acc we pts shipments 2 days a week from 2-4 pm so I'd have to take time off work to ship it too.

It would be best to sell in my state but not really any place to advertise and they now have the dumb "waiting period" so I don't know if the rifle would have to be left at an ffls location or if we would have to meet twice to get the transfer done

I've found when I don't know the value, I price way high and keep bringing it down until the right buyer surfaces.
