300 Remington Ultra Mag.

I am looking at buying a 300 ultra and i am wondering if the sendero model is worth the extra money vs the xcr or even the sps. I know the obvious fluted barrel and i may have to make sure that the barrel is floated properly but what is any other real differences that are worth another 500 bucks. Any help would be great.

What rez you huntin' on?

I'd save the 500 and add it to the purchase of optics and mounts.

For a hunting rifle that you're gonna carry a bit the bigger barrel is a handicap.

I grew up on a cattle ranch thats on the "Standing Rock" sioux reservation in northern SD but live in eastern Montana now, but thats what I was thinking I just dont know if there is going to be a big difference in accuracy at long range. I have a 25 WSSM now and feel pretty comfortable up to 550 with hand loads. I just want to reach a bit further and still be able to nockem down hard.
