300 rem Ultra mag

putting together a new rifle it has a 26" barrel wanting to put a muzzel brake or have it ported , I do know I dont want the barrel cut , any suggetions would be helpful , thanks

Muzzle break would be the way to go, porting would involve putting holes in the barrel which will shorten your overall barrel length. With a Muzzle break, you would have to thread the barrel.
