That was one of 3 loads that I didn't get a velocity reading for. My labradar wasn't aimed quite right. It was a compressed load of 61 gr H-1000 and shot .66"

I have found with my 8 twist 280AI that you really start to appreciate this cartridge once you get into 175-184 bullet range.
I was given a load that has worked in two different 280AI rifles with a little tweak to the original recipe
140gr Bullet of choice
Starting @ 59 up to a max of 63.5 N165
FGM210M
Nosler or Peterson brass
Start at the 59grs and work up at your own risk.

I tried pretty hard to get my 280ai to shoot the 175s but couldn't get the speed and accuracy I was hoping for. I dropped down to the 162 eldm and found a great shooting load almost immediately.
I often wonder if I'd get the 175s to shoot better if I slowed them down.

gonna go that high in bullet weight might as well go to 300wm or bigger
