270 win loads

I've got a 270 win and I will be reloading for it. I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a good powder to push some Berger vlds probably the heaviest I'll be able to get for it or the 140's. I'v already got some h-1000 and some retumbo and was interested in what y'all have to say about using this combo either h-1000 or the retumbo?

H-1000 and Retumbo are way to slow, you can't get enough powder in case to build up decent pressure.

With the 140 VLD seated to 3.340" OAL with 63.0 grs of H-1000 there is 113.4% load density. Now that is some serious compression. Some better powders are H-4831sc, RL-19, IMR 4831, IMR 4350, H 4350, H100V, Rl-22

4831sc is the way to go for me awesome accuracy and over 3000fps in the 140's for my sons 270 a stock savage 22" barrel.
