got a couple boxes of the new Hornandy ELD-x 143 Gr bullets coming, Or they tell me they shipped.

Loading 140 gr Bergers and Retumbo now, Anyone know what a fellow should back off on the powder charge for the 143gr ELD-X vs 140 gr Berger, I was thinking about
backing off 2 grs and work up to a max load slowly??

Standard recommended procedure is 10% when changing anything in a load. You never know what a different bullet will do to pressures. At the least I would back of 5% which would be around 4 grs. In my rifle I found ejector mark in the case rim pressure 1/2 gr before the stated max load 67.5 grs Retumbo with 129 Hornadys with 130 Accubonds. I dropped back to 66.5 grs and get 3350 fps with super accuracy from my 27 3/4" Shilen barrel. My rifle does have a bit tighter chamber though. The 130 Accubond has been an awesome bullet for deer out of this speedster from 30 to a little over 500 yards so far.

Did you ever get a good load with the 143 eld in your 264 wm?

What's your overall length I was just getting ready to try some in my 264 and was wondering what a ball park o.a.l. would be?

My COAL for the 130 Accubond is 3.450 but I have a custom chamber. This puts the bullet 20 thousands off the lands. In my experience the AB and the BT like to jump between 10 and 20 thousands to the lands.
